There's a significant problem at the boarding school, Maktab Rendah Sains Mara(MRSM) Kuching: unpleasant socks odor. Many students cannot afford specially treated commercialized insoles in the market. We intend to make affordable insoles that absorb smelly feet problem from socks and innovate it further to be plant-able upon disposal after use. Active carbon is mixed with blended paper pulp, then coriander seed was added into the mixture because it is easily grown and maintained. The mixture shaped into insoles and let dry. This innovation proves effective waste management and eco-friendly. The active carbon source is charcoal because it can absorb strong odors and easily accessible in our surrounding, besides cheap and nutritional for growth of seedlings. In conclusion, this innovation is an upgraded recycle effort.
