Cooking oil, a valuable resource from natural sources, holds significant importance for countries, and Malaysia is among the top three producers. On average, surveyed respondents in Malaysia use 5.8kg of cooking oil monthly. To decompose used oil, options include selling it to Alam Flora Buy Back Centre, Arus Oil, and SS Used Cooking Oil. Unfortunately, many individuals and small restaurants avoid recycling due to the inconvenience of transporting small amounts to specific locations, unlike larger industry restaurants. Our solution, the IoT Oil Recycle System, offers convenience by placing it in common spots like community centers, schools, and supermarkets. It features an ESP32, a versatile MCU with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, paired with an Ultrasonic sensor to detect oil levels, a buzzer for notifications when the tank is full, and an OLED screen for visualizing oil percentage.
