This study was conducted to introduce new durian seed-based products to society today. Researchers chose to innovate durian seeds into coffee. In Malaysia, the use of durian seeds is less commercialized. The product we produce, which is durian seed coffee, solves the problems we find and satisfies the objective of our research project. Among the problems we found is, durian seeds are often thrown away and there is waste after the contents are used. Because of this, we use durian seeds as the main ingredient to make our coffee products. With this, we can avoid wasting food. Next, the coffee available in the market is found to be less suitable for drinking every day because it has a high level of caffeine. Meanwhile, our durian seed coffee product does not have caffeine because it uses 100% durian seeds without additives. This at the same time makes our durian coffee product a nutritious drink. In addition, the coffee packaging in the market cannot be reused because the packaging design used is not airtight. Therefore, we use ziplock type packaging that can be resealed after opening. This makes this durian seed coffee product user-friendly. With the decisions made during the creation of this innovation project, we succeeded in producing a product that can be marketed commercially.
