ST273: Buoy-driven Innovation: Unleashing The Potential Of Wave Current Technology

Ooi Jun Wei Universiti Utara Malaysia

Utilizing the strength of ocean waves to generate renewable energy is a potential route. Wave current technology has received a feasible alternative for generating clean energy from the ever-moving ocean currents. This research investigates the role of buoy-driven innovation in realizing the entire potential of wave current technology. We study the principles underpinning wave energy conversion, discuss the difficulties in putting buoy systems, and provide creative techniques to maximize energy efficiency. We also look at desalination, aquaculture, and environmental monitoring. By embracing buoy-driven innovation, we can unlock the latent potential of wave current technology and contribute to a sustainable future.
