This study addresses the problem of balancing nutritional intake for a fast-food menu, Mary Brown, by using linear programming techniques. Fast-food chains face challenges in providing meals that meet the recommended daily intake of nutrients while also satisfying customer preferences. The objective of this research is to formulate a linear programming model that can help in selecting meal combinations that optimize nutritional balance. The model considers various constraints such as caloric intake, protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, and sugar ensuring that the selected meals comply with nutritional guidelines. By applying this approach, the study aims to provide a practical solution for Mary Brown to enhance the nutritional quality of its offerings, thereby promoting healthier eating habits among its customers. Linear programming techniques are employed to optimize the menu offerings, potentially leading to healthier meal options for consumers. The diet problem in this research is solved by using Microsoft Excel Solver which is the solution obtained is optimal. The results of this study can help Mary Brown design menus that cater to health-conscious customers without compromising on taste or cost.
