Ensuring children receive balanced and appropriate meal portions is essential for fostering lifelong healthy eating habits. Our project, CAPORTION, developed through Challenge-Based Learning, addresses this need by designing an innovative portioning system tailored for kids. Guided by the principle of portion control using hand measurements—where a closed fist determines rice portions and an open palm measures protein—we created a four-cup model consisting of two large and two medium cups. This intuitive design empowers children to independently portion their meals while promoting nutritional awareness. CAPORTION merges practicality with health education, encouraging healthier eating habits in an engaging and sustainable way.
