Nowadays, aquaponics is being used as a sustainable farming solution to overcome a variety of environmental issues. Although aquaponics is a versatile and adaptable farming method that can be used to grow a wide range of vegetables, herbs, and fruits, aquaponics may not be the most suitable option for root vegetables and large vegetables which require a lot of space. Some vegetables are heavy feeders and may require more nutrients than an aquaponic system can provide. Supplemental feeding may be necessary to support their growth. Some plants prefer acidic soil, which may not be compatible with the pH levels in an aquaponic system. Our group invents Smart Collapsible Kitchen Farm which will help to overcome the space limitations, nutrient levels and pH levels of the medium of different types of vegetables or plants. We customized the size of the grow bed system and the planter by inventing a flexible and adjustable grow bed and spiral planter, allowing for easy customization and optimization of the growing environment.
