PROBLEM STATEMENT: Preparation of salt has been rated as one of the most challenging topics in chemistry. Instead of relying solely on rote learning, a game-based learning approach can help students better comprehend the abstract basic concepts of salt topic while playing. SOLUTION: Therefore, our team from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia, has developed a hybrid game prototype named saltXpert to provide students with an enjoyable and interactive environment while competing in a friendly manner. HOW PRODUCT WORKS: saltXpert includes physical and digital board games. COMMERCIALISATION: Chemistry teachers can utilise saltXpert in game-based learning to be played in classroom.
