VISIO+ is a smart wearable assistive device designed to help visually impaired individuals navigate their surroundings safely and independently. Traditional walking canes have limitations in detecting obstacles at different heights and distances, which may increase the risk of accidents. To address this issue, VISIO+ integrates obstacle-detection sensors, a microcontroller, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and a voice guidance system. The sensors detect obstacles in real time, while the AI processes environmental data and provides clear audio instructions such as directions and hazard warnings. This enables users to move with greater confidence, safety, and independence. By combining modern technology with accessibility-focused innovation, VISIO+ aims to improve the quality of life of visually impaired individuals and promote a more inclusive society. The project also supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 9, and 10 by enhancing well-being, encouraging technological innovation, and reducing inequalities.
