Traditional textbook-based learning often fails to capture pupils' interest, resulting in disengagement and limited understanding of lesson content. Lost and Found is a digital innovation designed to address this challenge by transforming Unit 7: Extreme Situations from the Form 3 Close-Up English textbook into a gamified learning experience. Using Canva and Microsoft applications, we created an interactive, game-based version of the unit to enhance pupil motivation, participation, and comprehension. The unit’s theme of survival and decision-making makes it highly suitable for gamification, allowing pupils to immerse themselves in meaningful, scenario-driven tasks. With built-in challenges, rewards, and branching choices, Lost and Found promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. This innovation aligns with the Digital Education Policy (DPD) by supporting the development of digitally fluent pupils and encouraging active, 21st-century learning. Initial classroom implementation has shown increased enthusiasm, better retention of content, and a stronger connection between pupils and the learning material.
