The paper-making industry significantly contributes to global deforestation. This study explores sustainable alternatives by using three different types of leaves—banana, grass, and pandan—to produce paper. Our results indicate that paper derived from banana and grass leaves not only demonstrated a stronger texture but also remained insoluble in water, unlike pandan leaf paper. Furthermore, the resultant water from the leaf paper exhibited only mild acidity, suggesting environmental compatibility. These findings suggest that banana and grass leaves could serve as effective, eco-friendly alternatives in paper production, potentially mitigating deforestation impacts associated with traditional paper-making methods.
