EcoVerse: Recycle Hero Malaysia is an innovative digital gamification project designed to enhance environmental awareness and recycling education among students through interactive and experiential learning. The project addresses the limited effectiveness of traditional environmental education methods, which often fail to engage digital-native learners and do not sufficiently promote long-term behavioural change.

EcoVerse integrates sustainability education with game-based learning elements such as environmental missions, waste sorting challenges, interactive decision-making, and reward systems. Students assume the role of Eco Rangers tasked with restoring polluted environments and developing sustainable communities through problem-solving and active participation.

By simulating real-life environmental issues relevant to Malaysia, the project encourages learners to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and responsible decision-making skills. The gamified structure, including Eco Points, achievements, and leaderboards, enhances motivation and sustained engagement.

Overall, EcoVerse provides an innovative, student-centred approach to environmental education that promotes recycling knowledge, strengthens sustainable practices, and fosters positive environmental behaviour. The project also demonstrates strong potential for scalability and commercialization through digital learning platforms, school integration, and environmental partnerships.
