The main goal of this research is to analyze the quality and organoleptic value of lemongrass balm. The methods used for this research include the testing of the anti-inflammatory levels from three samples, sample 1, 2, and 3 using the ratio of 2:1:1, 2:2:2, and 2:3:3 with the composition of vaseline, lemongrass extract, and Gaultheria shallon oil. This research also requires an organoleptic test using the Likert scale towards 30 SMA Katolik Santu Petrus students. The result of the anti-inflammatory test shows that the balm contains anti-inflammatory properties. The result demonstrates that the lemongrass balm is able to relieve pain according to the anti-inflammation content found. The results that can be obtained from the research are that the lemongrass balm is safer for use by the public as it is made from authentic lemongrass with no content of methyl salicylate which risks severe burns in several cases. The ratio containing the best anti-inflammatory property is sample 3, whereas the organoleptic test shows that sample 2 proves to be the best in terms of appearance, aroma, and texture with a score of 4,5; 4,6; and 4,7. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the lemongrass balm is of high quality and can be used by the public as an alternative to traditional balms packaged in a modern form due to its anti-inflammatory properties, especially in the third sample, as well as liked by 30 participants, particularly in the second sample.
