The development of high-performance textile materials is essential to meeting the evolving needs of users seeking garments that combine breathability, durability, and comfort. This study introduces Airdurra, a functional fabric innovation composed of 100% polyester, utilizing a jersey knit with a pin-dot mesh structure. The name "Airdurra" reflects its dual properties, which are "Air" symbolizing enhanced airflow and breathability, and "Durra" referencing strength and long-term wear resistance. A comparative analysis was conducted between two fabric structures: traditional eyelet mesh and the selected pin-dot mesh. While eyelet mesh is known for durability, it is typically thicker and more rigid, resulting in lower thermal comfort. In contrast, the pin-dot mesh offers a finer, thinner profile that promotes superior ventilation and flexibility, making it more suitable for activewear applications. Textile testing followed standards, including pilling and abrasion testing, dimensional stability, repeated laundering, and breathability indices. Results demonstrated that Airdurra maintained excellent mechanical integrity while achieving superior moisture management and thermal regulation compared to eyelet alternatives. This study presents Airdurra as a viable textile solution for performance apparel, especially where comfort under motion and temperature control are critical. The findings emphasize the value of thoughtful fabric engineering in designing user-responsive garments for modern lifestyles.
