Integrity Hero is a gamified software application that helps prevent plagiarism among first-semester university students. The program uses a cartoon interface, in which users follow Prof. Byte through the game as they try to save him from his nemesis, Copy-Pasterix. It combines micro-games such as Guess the Word and Citation Detective, and thus provides a mechanism for active learning. Score-based badges and completion certificates are available at the end of the game for every user, with their name on them. It is highly integrable into existing Learning Management Systems used in universities.
