ABCD Malt Powder is a novel innovation in the realm of healthy nutrition, formulated by incorporating natural ingredients such as apple, avocado, beetroot, blueberry, carrot and dragon fruit, complemented with almond and brown sugar. This formulation aims to offer a nutrient-rich alternative to conventional caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee. The product is specifically designed to cater to individuals across all age groups, including children, pregnant women and the elderly, by providing essential vitamins (A, C, E) and minerals, notably magnesium, that support vital physiological functions. The primary objective of this study was to determine whether the inclusion of dragon fruit and other fruits could enhance the sensory appeal of the original ABC Malt Powder. Preliminary nutritional analyses confirmed a high content of antioxidants and micronutrients. Organoleptic evaluations focusing on taste, aroma, and texture indicated positive consumer responses. A pilot test conducted on January 15 2025, at a local school involving 10 students revealed that 5 participants expressed strong preference for the product, suggesting improved palatability due to the added fruits. This innovation supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, promoting accessible and nutritious food alternatives. In conclusion, the development of ABCD Malt Powder demonstrates the potential to deliver both health benefits and consumer satisfaction, making it a promising option in the functional beverage market.
