Single-use wraps such as plastic cling film are used by many households to store leftover foods as they are readily available and easy to use. However, single-use wraps contribute to pollution, take centuries to decompose, and harm wildlife. As such, beeswax wraps became a sustainable alternative as they're reusable, biodegradable, and made from natural materials, reducing plastic waste and environmental impact. For example, beeswax wraps are made from cotton, beeswax, tree resin and jojoba oil which are all biodegradable materials. These materials are easily available to the public which means making beeswax wraps at home is a straightforward activity. Besides, the steps to making one are simple and easy to follow. Therefore, if taken care of properly, beeswax wraps will become a convenient and preferred choice of storing food among the masses.
