FruitFresh EG is a natural preservative that prolongs the shelf life of fruits that produce ethylene such as bananas and mangoes. It is made from ascorbic acid, sorbic acid, beeswax, zeolite, coconut oil and cornstarch to trap ethylene gas, prevent mould, manage humidity and prevent fruits from ripening fast. This product is applied by grating solid wax and placing it near a breathable pouch near the fruits. Trial results showed that the fruits stayed fresh up to 9 days, compared to the fruits that are untreated only stayed fresh up to 5-7 days. FruitFresh EG offers a safe, natural and eco-friendly solution to reduce food waste at home.
