Farzana Aziz Binti Mohamad Razal SJKT KAJANG

The organic food & beverage industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in worldwide. People are so much concern about healthy and harmless food. Worldwide economy has realised after recognizing the hazards associated with synthetic fertilisers and crop care chemicals. The environmental hazards include soil contamination due to the use of synthetic chemicals for prolonged periods, underground water reserve contamination, soil fertility loss, and more, whereas in human damages include loss of nutrients in food and long-term deterioration of health due to excessive chemical intake. These factors have led to a steady preference toward bio-based solutions for fertilisers globally. Therefor we have decided to innovate a biodegradable fertiliser from tea waste. Material, that we used in this project are tea waste, hand gloves, container, vacuum sealer, plastic bag and blender. The process of making this biodegradable fertiliser is as following. Start collecting the used tea in a container. Next dry it under the sunlight. Then grind the tea waste until refine. Lastly packed the fertilizer in packet and seal it.
