Reading is a fundamental literacy skill which every child should master. However, the reading skills among a minority of pupils in my school are at a low level. Therefore, this innovation is aimed to overcome the reading problem among the basic learners in our school, SJKT METHODIST KAPAR. Six pupils from Year 6 were involved in this reading innovation kit, named InCReK. InCReK helps pupils to master the basic reading skills and it could be a better intervention to those who have very limited fluency. We believe it makes learning more fun and engaging besides cultivating good literacy habits among pupils.
