Plankton is crucial for the survival of various marine animals such as fish, seahorses, clams, and bacteria, as it plays a vital role in the aquatic food chain. Creating baseline information on the distribution of these organisms in our marine environment is essential due to their importance. The product we have developed is a cutting-edge database specifically designed for plankton. The advantages of our offering are further enhanced by the absence of any ongoing development of a plankton database, namely in the northern region of Malaysia. This product will provide many benefits to the community by catering to a diverse clientele, including municipal, governmental, and non-governmental groups. Overall, the development of the plankton database is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations SDG 14: "Life below water," SDG 2: "Zero hunger," SDG 3: "Good health and well-being," and SDG 13: "Climate action”.
