Used cooking oil (UCO) at home is an issue, due to environmental problems like water and soil pollution if not properly disposed of. Ecopure-bar is a kit that housewives may use to turn the UCO into soap. The process involves mixing filtered oil with lye, stirring, adding fragrance, moulding, hardening, and curing for two weeks. All the materials to produce soap is ready in this kit, including sodium hydroxide, mould, gloves, charcoal and instructions.
