ST1382: Growth Observation: IoT-based System To Monitor Tree Growth

Forests are the lungs of our planet, and in Malaysia, the government has launched an ambitious initiative to plant 100 million trees. However, ensuring these trees survive and thrive is the real challenge. Our project, Growth Observation, utilizes an IoT-based system with drones equipped with high-resolution cameras to monitor forest canopies. These images are analyzed by an AI system trained to detect various leaf diseases, enabling real-time identification of potential issues. Automated notifications are sent to forest administrators for prompt intervention, directly supporting SDG 15, Life on Land, by promoting sustainable forest management practices.
