In Malaysia, efficient road lighting systems are crucial for energy conservation and safety,
yet traditional systems often suffer from inefficiency and energy wastage. The "Auto
Motion Solar Powered Road Lighting System" addresses this challenge by introducing
an Arduino-based automated lighting solution that optimizes energy usage and enhances
road safety. This system utilizes an LDR sensor to activate the lights based on ambient
light levels and a PIR motion sensor to detect motion, dynamically adjusting LED
brightness from 50% to 100% to conserve energy. Integrated with an I2C LCD, the
system displays real-time data, including ambient light levels, system status, and motion
detection counts. An active buzzer adds auditory feedback when motion is detected,
further enhancing its functionality. Simulations using Wokwi and TinkerCAD validate the
system’s performance, ensuring reliability and accuracy. This project presents a scalable,
energy-efficient lighting solution that promotes sustainability and supports safer road
infrastructure in communities.
