The purpose of this research was to determine the gummy profile of ashoka (Ixora coccinea) and tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus) extract as a preventer of diabetes mellitus. The methods used in this research are toxicity tests, glucometer tests, pH tests and organoleptic tests. Based on the results of the tests, it was found that gummy extracts from ashoka and tapak dara flowers contain flavonoids and saponins which can help reduce glucose levels in the body, where based on the glucometer test it was found that sample 3 could reduce glucose levels the highest, namely in 28 mg/dl. With the ingredients in the gummy, ashoka and tapak dara flowers extract can help people to prevent diabetes mellitus and become an alternative gummy snack for diabetes sufferers.
