Mathematics remains one of the most challenging subjects among Year 6 students, particularly when it comes to abstract concepts and multi-step problem-solving in topics such as fractions, percentages, money, volume, coordinates, and word problems. Studies have shown that many students struggle with these areas due to a lack of visual support, interactive engagement, and opportunities for self-paced practice. In response to this issue, the main objective of this innovation is to develop an interactive educational application using MATLAB GUI to enhance students’ understanding through visualization and guided exploration. The application was fully developed using MATLAB coding and features a user-friendly graphical interface containing six interactive modules: Pecahan Pro (Fractions), SifirSakti (Multiplication Mastery), WangBijak (Smart Money), Isipadu360 (Volume Explorer), KoordinatKu (Coordinate Trainer), and SoalanBergambar (Visual Word Problems). Each module integrates interactive simulations, automated assessment, and visual cues to reinforce key mathematical concepts, support self-learning, and improve conceptual clarity. The resulting product is a complete MATLAB-based educational tool tailored to address six of the most difficult topics in the Year 6 mathematics curriculum. In conclusion, this application offers a promising digital learning resource that can be used as an effective teaching aid (ABM) in classrooms. As a suggestion for future enhancement, this innovation could be expanded into a mobile-friendly version with gamified elements and additional language support to further increase accessibility and engagement among diverse learners.
