The mental well-being of elderly individuals living alone is a growing concern, as isolation worsens health conditions and complicates caregiver monitoring. This project proposes a solution to enhance life quality for the elderly and their caregivers by employing advanced emotion detection technology. Utilizing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), the system recognizes facial expressions to assess emotional states. Integrated with an IoT framework, it sends real-time alerts, including images and messages, to caregivers via a smartphone app. Achieving high detection accuracy in CNNs classification and real-time testing, this innovation promises significant societal impact by improving elderly mental health and caregiver reassurance.
