Coconut husk was chosen because it is an easily available waste material, low in cost, and has a high oil absorption capacity. The main objective of this innovation is to reduce excess oil from food waste before disposal, thereby preventing clogged sinks and reducing water pollution. The use of coconut husk not only helps cut costs but also promotes recycling practices and the sustainable use of natural resources.

This innovation aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6 and 12, which emphasize the importance of clean water management and responsible consumption of resources.
