JS387: AQMuRyS Blynk Of An Eye: Real-Time Child Safety Monitoring In Vehicles

Ami Khalish Haiqal Bin Mohd Khairul Sekolah Kebangsaan Sena

Parents often face numerous distractions that can lead them to forget young children in parked cars, posing risks of overheating, dehydration, and even fatalities. This study utilises data to design and construct a protection and monitoring system for child restraints in vehicles. The system comprises a controller and a child temperature sensor. It employs an infrared detection sensor to ascertain if children are left inside the car and environmental sensors to monitor conditions once the car is parked and vacated. In case of distress, an alarm and a message are automatically sent to the parent's mobile phone via the Blynk Application system. This alarm notifies the parent that their child is still in the vehicle. Leveraging IoT technology, the system ensures real-time alerts are sent. The research focuses on designing a notification system that utilises a universally common device, the smartphone, to alert parents effectively.
