A.I. Tutor is an innovative mobile application designed to enhance primary science education by leveraging artificial intelligence. Targeting students aged 6 to 12, the app addresses the lack of accessible practical learning tools, providing an engaging and interactive educational experience. A.I. Tutor uses machine learning models to recognize images, enabling students to identify acidic, alkaline, and neutral substances, distinguish between recyclable and non-recyclable items, and understand the fundamental materials composing various objects. By incorporating features such as BMI calculation, drawing tools, homework recording, exercise tracking, and interactive quizzes, the app promotes a holistic approach to learning. It also offers digital science textbooks and games to facilitate both educational and recreational activities. The A.I. Tutor app not only supports sustainable development goals, particularly Quality Education (Goal 4) and Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10), but also fosters 21st-century skills by encouraging exploration and discovery rather than rote memorization. The development of A.I. Tutor involved collaboration with Kolej Komuniti Sarikei and the participation of around 40 primary schools in Sarikei, resulting in positive feedback from users. Future plans include expanding the app's reach to all primary schools in Malaysia, publishing it on the Google Play Store, and enhancing its image recognition capabilities. Through these efforts, A.I. Tutor aims to empower young minds with the transformative power of artificial intelligence, ensuring an inclusive and equitable quality education for all.
