Plastic waste at beaches and recreational areas threatens the environment, marine life, and sustainable tourism. To address this issue, our team developed Green Stick, a low-cost, eco-friendly 2-in-1 innovation made from recycled materials. The tool functions as a rubbish grabber for safe, no-contact waste collection and includes a sponge end to clean wet or dirty surfaces before sitting. Green Stick promotes responsible tourism practices by encouraging cleanliness, safety, and environmental awareness. This innovation supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 13: Climate Action. Small action, big impact — towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
