Geographic Information Systems (GIS) gain interest from many users and can be used for cross-disciplinary applications, especially geography education. It offers dynamic tools for visualising the real environment when integrated into digital learning environments. However, many students’ perception on geography subject an irrelevant subject that does not contribute to personal development or academic performance. Therefore, Geo-Excel was introduced to increase students' engagement with geography subject as a core subject, not just an elective. The development of Geo-Excel involves three sections: theoretical information, video recording, and a game platform. The Google Site platform displays and embeds all sections, providing students with comprehensive information on landforms, a topic they study in Form 3 secondary school. Quantum GIS (QGIS) prepares the map using spatial data retrieved from open-source websites. Therefore, this study anticipates an increase in the number of students who appreciate geography and incorporate it into their real-life activities.
