The boarding school environment demands high levels of psychological regulation and learning engagement, which may be particularly challenging for students with autistic traits. This study aimed to examine the differences and relationships between autistic traits, psychological management and learning engagement among 1000 boarding school students in Selangor. The results revealed significant differences in psychological and learning outcomes between students with high and low autistic traits. These findings showed that students with low autistic traits had higher levels of learning engagement, while students’ with autistic traits were associated with psychological difficulties, highlighting the need for learning and psychological support interventions.
