Aiming at the problem of lack of precision in fertilization, inefficient utilization of nutrients and labor-intensive that favor low corn yield and possess environmental concern, an adjustable fertilizer spreader was innovated. To meet precise application of fertilizer and enhance overall sustainability of corn cultivation practices, the fertilizer spreader tool was designed with adjustability features. The low cost and lightweight hand-held adjustable fertilizer spreader are innovated for the application of solid granular fertilizer. The tool has a storage capacity of 3kg and is equipped with three adjustability of 5g, 10g and 15 g of fertilizer application. With this tool, farmers can ensure the optimal amounts of nutrients received by the corn plants that leads to enhancement of corn yield. Efficient and precise fertilization with the avoidance of over-fertilization and under-fertilization may minimize the wastage, reduce input costs, promote soil health, and labor saving. These impacts contribute to the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices in corn fields, provide environmental protection and improve livelihood of farmers.
