Virtual Booth

The ROBIN-1 version 2.0 project, developed by students of SJKT Rawang, introduces an intelligent, contactless dustbin aimed at improving hygiene and environmental cleanliness. It addresses the reluctance to use traditional bins due to contamination fears by incorporating ultrasonic sensors, servo motors, Arduino Nano, voice feedback, and solar power. Its Smart Fill Detection System monitors waste levels, displays status via LED and OLED, and automatically shuts down when full to prevent overflow. Built with recyclable materials and costing RM550, the project promotes STEM learning, teamwork, and sustainability. Pilot testing at school showed reduced littering and better cleanliness habits. Future plans include adding battery level indicators, waste analytics, and wider implementation. ROBIN-1 is not just a bin—it’s a tool for behavior change, technological education, and eco-responsibility.
