A manual method for RBC counting is introduced to test the microscopic images of blood cells using basic statistical tools. This proposed method may have an impact on learning outcomes for biostatistics courses especially for academic programs in Medical Laboratory Technology. It facilitates the students to investigate blood cells quantitatively and qualitatively during classroom time and provides vital and statistical information on blood cells that could be applicable in medical laboratory sciences.
