Gas leaks pose serious safety risks, including explosions, poisoning, and environmental harm. Traditional detectors often lack real-time alerts or fail to prevent accidents effectively. This STEM project designs a low-cost Smart Gas Leak Detector using an MQ gas sensor and a microbit to detect hazardous gases like methane and LPG. Upon detection, it triggers audible and visual alarms for immediate warning. The system focuses on reliability, affordability, and energy efficiency, making it suitable for homes and small industries. By improving early leak detection, this project aims to enhance safety, reduce risks, and prevent gas-related disasters.
