JS756: Gamified Learning: Enhancing Islamic Studies And Jawi With Educational Role Playing Games (RPGs)

MUHAMMAD EUSOFF YAQ`N BIN OMAR Al Amin Darul Musthofa School Elmina

In today's digital age, students prefer handheld devices over traditional study methods. To adapt, we propose an educational role-playing game (RPG) to enhance learning in Islamic Studies and Jawi reading. Inspired by Randi and Carvalho's 2013 research on RPG-based learning, our gamified platform offers an engaging way to reinforce school education. Particularly effective during holidays, this tool ensures active learning and revision. Experiments showed students using the game improved their quiz scores by an average of 7% compared to those who did not use the game, highlighting its effectiveness as a supplementary revision tool.
