Banana peels, often regarded as agricultural waste, are rich in bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids, and carotenoids, which exhibit potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. This study explores the potential of banana peel extract as a primary ingredient in the formulation of a topical gel aimed at promoting skin health and aiding in the treatment of minor skin conditions such as acne, irritation, and wounds. This gel was made by blending the banana peels and adding honey to supercharge its effects. Then we thicken into a gel with a constarch slurry. This gel can also be used to make a bio-plaster(band-aid). It can be taken as a topical madication (meaning it can be used externally) and or be used internally (oral).
