ST873: SMART RESERVED PARKING (SRP)

MOHAMMAD ASHRAFF BIN MOHAMAD YUNUS POLITEKNIK KOTA KINABALU

Smart Reserved Parking (SRP) is an innovation created to give users full rights over their parking spaces. Additionally, SRP aims to help vehicle users save time when searching for parking spaces. The main feature of SRP is its ability to detect the presence of vehicles through ultrasonic sensors. Furthermore, solar energy is used as an alternative power source to operate the product. This can reduce electricity costs and enable SRP to operate continuously for 24 hours. A common problem faced by condominium or apartment residents is that their designated parking spaces are often used by others without permission, even though each housing unit is allocated a specific parking space. Due to this problem, the Smart Reserved Parking innovation was created. Smart Reserved Parking functions as a device to prevent the misuse of parking spaces. SRP is also equipped with an alarm system if a non-owner parks in the SRP-operated space, the alarm will sound until the vehicle owner leaves the area.
