This project is about building a web-based financial system, e-SPKP, for internal use in an organisation. The system is designed to solve the problems encountered by financial staff in managing and tracking departmental transactions. At present, the staff uses iSPEKS Kelantan for financial information in general; but the system does not offer department views, for example to monitor remaining balances after allocating funds to different projects. This requires financial staff to manually calculate and track balances using Microsoft Excel, leading to the potential for errors, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies. Without a system at the department level, it is challenging to manage financial transactions, particularly in multiple transactions. Inconsistencies from incorrect data entry, failure to record transactions, or even inadvertent formula changes can result in inaccurate representations. Also, the current system lacks a formal process for recording transaction information like date and time, making it less transparent and traceable. To address these problems, this research designs a simple and user-friendly web-based system, e-SPKP, that enables financial administrators to record total funds, allocate funds for several projects and calculate the remaining funds automatically. It also captures the transaction details for audit and transparency. The system streamlines financial tracking by minimising manual spreadsheet-based approaches, making it more efficient, accurate and organised. In conclusion, this project highlights the benefits of a simple and feasible digital solution to improve financial tracking and decision-making in an organisation.
