Urban waste mismanagement persists in public spaces where unclear labels and inconvenience cause recyclables to be discarded as general waste. This project presents a Smart Waste Management System, an AI-powered and IoT-connected dual bin prototype that classifies waste in real time, guides the user, and rewards correct disposal. A Raspberry Pi integrates a camera, ultrasonic sensors, servo driven lids, and an MQTT link to Node RED and Telegram. A custom TensorFlow Lite model trained on application specific categories performs on device inference, while user transactions are logged for dashboard monitoring, supporting cleaner cities and circular economy goals.
