Karin Angelica SMAK SANTU PETRUS
Tengkawang (Shorea stenoptera) is an endemic plant from Kalimantan with high fat content, making it a promising natural cosmetic ingredient. Its potential remains underutilized. This research introduces Tengkawang Kiss, a lip balm made from tengkawang fat. The study focuses on how to formulate the product and assess its feasibility through organoleptic testing and cost structure analysis. The research aims to explore the product's sensory quality and business potential. Findings show that Tengkawang Kiss meets acceptable sensory standards and has promising economic prospects. This supports the use of local biodiversity in creating innovative, natural, and marketable cosmetic products.
