Flooding during the monsoon season has become a recurring issue at TMS, primarily caused by ineffective drainage systems that are unable to accommodate the high volume of rainwater. This often results in water overflow without any prior warning, leading to unexpected inundation in several areas of the school, posing safety risks to students and staff. To address this issue, we propose the development of a flood alert system utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The objective of this project is to design a real-time monitoring and alert system capable of detecting rising water levels and automatically notifying school management before flooding occurs. The proposed method involves the deployment of water level sensors integrated with microcontrollers and wireless communication modules to monitor drainage conditions continuously. When critical levels are detected, the system will trigger alerts via digital channels such as SMS or mobile notifications. The expected result of this project is a reliable early warning mechanism that enables school authorities to take proactive measures, minimize disruption, and enhance the safety of students and staff during the monsoon season.
