ST396: Collapsible Underground Animal Trap (CUAT)

BRYAN BECKHAM PETER UiTM Sabah Branch

The smart animal trap market is reported to be US$334.36 million and expected to increase in the following years. Underground traps, among other types of traps, are crucial for managing both wildlife and agriculture. In addition to destroying vegetation and soil, rodents like mice, rats, and rabbits can also spread illness. Traps, however, are essential for the humane capture of protected animals. The majority of underground traps in the market are heavy and composed of steal. In wildlife management, most researchers employ improvised underground traps. Our team has developed the Collapsible Underground Animal Trap (CUAT) in order to solve these issues and capitalize on the smart trap market. Soft, secure, and durable material makes up CUAT. It can be placed underground, with a string attached that will aid in identifying the precise location of the traps. The flap on CUAT will only let animals enter; they cannot escape. CUAT will efficiently handle infestations and trap small animals in a humane manner.
