Incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into early education can make learning more engaging and interactive for young children. This project introduces an AI-powered automatic recycle bin designed specifically for kindergarten classrooms to teach children about waste segregation and recycling in a fun and interactive way. The system uses computer vision and machine learning to detect and classify waste items placed near the bin. A camera, along with an AI model trained on different types of waste (such as plastic, paper, metal, and organic materials), identifies the item and instructs the child on the correct disposal method. A friendly voice assistant and visual display provide real-time feedback, reinforcing learning. The bin also features motion sensors for hands-free operation, ensuring hygiene and ease of use. By integrating AI technology, this project promotes early environmental awareness and helps children develop sustainable habits. The interactive and gamified approach makes recycling an enjoyable experience, fostering curiosity and responsibility from a young age.
