The Tale-Tweaking Tool (TTT) is a cutting-edge smartphone app created to help Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) first-semester diploma students become better storytellers. Students used to academic writing, especially expository writing, may find it difficult to write a 100-word narrative paragraph as part of UiTM's new English language curriculum for first-semester diploma students (LCC111). To help students overcome these obstacles, TTT offers lectures, multiple-choice questions based on the lectures, and step-by-step exercises to help them develop their writing skills for succinct narratives. Following the students' use of the app, an online survey was administered to get feedback on its effectiveness. According to the survey's findings, TTT successfully improves students' comprehension of sentence construction, story sequence, succinct writing, and narrative components like plot, character, and place. To sum up, TTT is a helpful teaching method that greatly improves narrative writing abilities, which makes it a crucial part of UiTM's current language curriculum. Its potential for broader adoption and further advancement could transform the teaching of creative writing and eventually benefit a larger audience.
