Technology is advancing with the times. The blending of game and educational content aims to generate innovative thinking that can improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning for students in real-life scenarios. This study aimed to develop a Coding based game for mathematics subject by using scratch coding software. The ‘Math-Code-Breaker’ game is created for primary school students. Using games in education has the potential to increase students’ motivation and engagement in the learning process, gathering long-lasting practical knowledge. Five phases of the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, were used to develop (MCB) game applications in the classroom based on Scratch Coding. The results show that MCB game fulfilled the requirement that is in line with the Standard Curriculum and Assessment Document (DSKP) of the Malaysian Ministry of Education. mathematics experts have expressed positive opinions on the use of gamification apps in the classroom with the content and functionality of the MCB apps. Moreover, the approach is mainly implemented for developing computational thinking or programming skills, highlighting the need for its implementation in other topics beyond programming.
