Communication barriers with deaf-mute individuals persist due to limited sign language awareness. Our research found 67% of students can't sign, 73% have never interacted with signers, yet 90.7% are eager to learn. To address this, we created Cappybuddy+, a capybara-themed app that teaches sign language through gamified lessons and AI. Tested with Labuan International School and deaf-mute students from special education school, SK Pekan 1, it proved effective in improving communication. Future plans include integrating Kod Tangan Bahasa Melayu to align with national standards, promoting inclusivity through education and technology.
