Managing multiple pairs of glasses during travel or daily activities presents a common yet overlooked challenge, particularly in terms of space management and ensuring the safety of the eyewear. Many existing storage solutions are bulky and inconvenient, forcing users to carry several separate cases. This often leads to clutter and increases the risk of damage or loss. The problem was identified through a series of methods including direct observation at Labuan Matriculation College and Labuan financial park over a period of 6 hours (2 hours per day for 3 days). Interviews were conducted with 3 college students aged 19 to 20, revealing a shared frustration over the inconvenience of carrying multiple glasses. The team also engaged in group brainstorming sessions and consultations to further understand the issue, alongside addressing ten WH-questions to refine the problem and the desired product outcome. To address this issue, the team developed a compact, lightweight, and durable storage prototype using the Sharp3D design tool. The creation process took approximately five hours per week over a two-week period. Our group hopes that this innovative storage solution OptiPenta will offer a practical and efficient alternative for individuals who frequently carry multiple pairs of eyewear. By combining portability, durability, and protection in a single compact design, we aim to enhance user convenience and reduce the hassle of managing separate cases. We believe that this product not only meets the needs of students and travelers but also has the potential to benefit a broader audience. Consequently, we are optimistic that our prototype can be further developed and improved based on user feedback, ultimately contributing to more organized and stress-free eyewear storage.
